It’s no surprise that over the course of their career, Collective Soul has performed over 1,200 concerts. Many of these concerts included visits to the biggest US venues, as well as stops at locations outside of the US, including when they joined the Goo Goo Dolls during the Boxes UK Tour in 2016, with a notable tour date on October 13 at the O2 Institute.
The band has also opened for some of the biggest performers in the world, including when they joined Van Halen as their opening act during their Balance Tour between march 1995 to May 1995.
They’ve been kept busy, especially following the explosive release of their first self-titled album as well as the success of the single “Shine”. For example, 1994 and 1995 saw the band play 35 concerts each year. Then1997 and 1999-2000 saw the band play over 100 combined concerts. But their first major touring year came in 2005 which saw the band play over 130 concerts in that year alone. Many of these tour dates were in popular US venues, which only made the band more popular among rock fans and music listeners.
More recently, the band enjoyed an active period between 2015-2019 which saw the band play just shy of 350 concerts total with no fewer than 49 concerts in that period. Which was a pattern they have kept up to this day, excepting 2020 where the band had to play fewer concerts due to the global pandemic.
In short, the band still retains the energy that they showed in their early days.
